About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building and Maintenance Manager to join our team at Mears Group PLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our properties across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance teams to ensure maximum productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on operational activities, including budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance staff.
  • Manage and maintain company assets, including vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and improve customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
