NOV Inc. is a leading global company specializing in the design and production of wireline products for slickline and electric line applications. We are currently expanding our team in a new facility and are looking for a skilled Cell Leader to join our KWINCH assembly and testing area.

Job Summary

The Cell Leader will utilize their technical knowledge and professional experience to contribute to the manufacturing of precision components for various applications. This role will oversee a team, ensure efficient assembly processes, manage material stock, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Ensure team compliance with safety protocols and report any issues.
  • Work Planning: Schedule work orders to optimize efficiency.
  • Machine Operation: Safely operate machinery following HSE standards.
  • Production Management: Determine production needs, manage schedules, and monitor staffing levels.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify defects, maintain quality procedures, and ensure material traceability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead improvement initiatives and encourage proactive problem-solving.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor team members and provide guidance.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with supervisors, attend meetings, and support improvement strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and optimize team performance and equipment maintenance.
  • Administrative Duties: Update systems, assist with budgeting, participate in interviews, and provide feedback.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualifications: Relevant apprenticeship or HNC.
  • Experience: Knowledge of wireline products, assembly facilities, and previous leadership experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and stock management.

Desirable:

  • Further education: in a relevant field.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Familiarity with root cause analysis tools.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Understanding of LEAN principles.
  • Experience: Previous supervisor experience.
