JOB OVERVIEW

As a PCE Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to safely and precisely disassemble, assemble, and test Pressure Control Equipment. This includes a variety of products such as Surface Test Trees, Gate Valves, Plug Valves, BOPs, Lubricators, Toolcatchers, Quick Test Subs, Greaseheads, Check Valves, Flanges, and Air-operated Hydraulic Control Modules. You will also be tasked with performing repairs and identifying quality concerns. Your role will involve enhancing the assembly processes of NOV ISE products through effective techniques, innovative ideas, and creative problem-solving. Collaboration with colleagues is essential, and you will be expected to report any health and safety improvements or violations, halting any unsafe operations and notifying your supervisor immediately. Adherence to risk assessments and participation in safety initiatives is crucial. Maintaining the highest quality standards in your work is expected, with a focus on achieving accuracy on the first attempt.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Service and repair hydraulic systems according to established designs and procedures, ensuring cleanliness is maintained.
  • Monitor materials, products, or equipment to identify defects or faults.
  • Support initiatives aimed at on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and cost management.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and tidy workspace by following 5S and LEAN principles.
  • Contribute to the adoption of new techniques and products, including the acquisition of new machinery.
  • Complete all assigned tasks to meet high levels of performance as designated by the Cell Leader.
  • Be willing to work reasonable overtime as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure product quality aligns with NOV standards while achieving the required output levels.
  • Comply with inspection and quality criteria, policies, and procedures without exception.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship.
  • National Certificate in a related field.
  • Higher education in a relevant subject (preferred).
  • Experience in a mechanical profession.
  • Familiarity with the service and repair of PCE is advantageous (preferred).
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Forklift and Overhead Crane certifications (preferred).
