Role Overview:
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in aiding the English Department and enriching the educational experience of students. Your duties will encompass assisting in lesson execution, crafting educational resources, offering tailored student support, and contributing to the overall academic atmosphere. This role is perfectly suited for a recent graduate in English who is enthusiastic about education and eager to positively influence students' academic paths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the English Department in delivering captivating and effective lessons.
  • Assist students in their academic pursuits, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help create teaching materials and educational resources.
  • Provide individualized and small group tutoring sessions.
  • Assist with the evaluation of assignments and examinations.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and school activities.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in English or a related discipline.
  • A strong enthusiasm for English literature, language, and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with educators and students.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a similar capacity is advantageous but not mandatory.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Possession or willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships with students, educators, and parents.
  • Demonstrated dedication to education and personal development.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advertisement is for a temporary position, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
