Role Overview:
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the English Department and enriching the educational experience of students. Your duties will encompass aiding in lesson execution, crafting educational resources, offering tailored student assistance, and contributing to the overall academic atmosphere. This role is well-suited for a recent graduate in English who is enthusiastic about education and eager to positively influence students' academic paths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the English Department in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
  • Assist with grading assignments and exams.
  • Participate in department meetings and school events.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • A passion for English literature, language, and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.
