Job Summary:

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Highway Supervisor to lead reactive maintenance schemes on our road network in the East Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the delivery of emergency and unplanned maintenance works, ensuring the safety and quality of all operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of highway operatives in the execution of reactive maintenance tasks, including emergency road repairs, pothole fixing, drainage works, and barrier repairs.
  • Provide clear direction, training, and support to ensure high standards of performance and safety.
  • Plan and schedule reactive maintenance works, ensuring timely response to emergency callouts and unplanned maintenance requirements.
  • Liaise with the highway maintenance manager, engineers, and client representatives to prioritize and allocate resources effectively.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in highway maintenance and a proven track record of leading teams in reactive maintenance environments. You will be able to provide clear direction and training to your team, ensuring high standards of performance and safety.
