Position: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer

Location: Slough / West London area

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 plus LW

Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time

Role Summary:

The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer will oversee the daily operations of minor projects and reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct reactive maintenance tasks
• Perform proactive maintenance activities
• Plan and schedule maintenance operations
• Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to source necessary parts
• Manage client relationships and service delivery
• Provide technical support to team members, acting as a subject matter expert
• Implement measures to reduce F-Gas emissions
• Ensure proper containment and recovery of F-Gases
• Conduct annual inspections of F-Gas units and document findings
• Engage in multi-skilled reactive and planned activities

Service Excellence:

Demonstrate a clear understanding of service delivery excellence, ensuring consistent performance and leading a team focused on quality service.

Risk Management:

Maintain awareness of operational and regulatory risks that may affect business operations, and report any concerns to management.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Work closely with management to ensure that all operations align with established health and safety frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

Essential:

• Valid UK driving license
• NVQ Level 2 in Engineering (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) or equivalent
• F-Gas certification
• Brazing certification
• PASMA, IPAF, and CSCS certifications

Desirable:

• Experience in catering systems
• Knowledge of control systems
• Electrical qualifications
• Manufacturer training

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Experience in plumbing

Desirable:

• First Aid awareness

Experience:

A minimum of one year of experience in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector, with proven expertise in servicing and troubleshooting HVAC systems, as well as working with electrical systems.
