Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shift Fitter to join our Engineering Team at Stagecoach North East. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our bus fleet to ensure they remain available, roadworthy, and reliable for our customers.
  • Work collaboratively with our engineering team to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry standards and technologies.

Requirements

  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the bus or rail industry.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and overtime as required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
