We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fitter to join our Newcastle Depot and play a crucial role in maintaining our Plant and Equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mechanical assessments on GCU Vehicle & Plant, ascertain repair scope, damages, and required parts.
- Perform repairs and servicing on GCU-owned Vehicle & Plant.
- Complete Garage Repair, Service Sheets, and Defect Rectification.
- Conduct function tests on plant before issuing them to teams.
- Utilize the GCU Workshop Tagging System for proper storage and quarantine.
- Ensure safe use of workshop tools and chemicals.
- Maintain workshop security and tools at the end of each shift.
- Keep the workshop ordered, clean, and tidy to prevent accidents.
- Adhere to GCU HS Policies, Processes, and Risk Assessments.
- Acting as an example by wearing the correct PPE for the area.
- Follow GCU Plant and Equipment Management Processes and Tagging Systems.
- Create accurate workshop paperwork to uphold quality standards.
