Key Responsibilities:
- Herdsman/Herds Manager: Oversee the day-to-day management of the dairy herd to achieve optimum results and performance.
- Milking and Production: Manage the milking routine, production levels and milk quality of the herd.
- Animal Health and Welfare: Monitor the herd health and well-being, including routine vet visits and vaccinations.
- Breeding and Youngstock Management: Manage the breeding programme and the management of calves and youngstock.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on herd health, milk production and breeding.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a high level of health and safety and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
