About the Company: Our client is a successful and progressive third-generation family-owned business, established since 1931. They represent prestigious luxury car brands throughout the South of the UK and are committed to creating memorable experiences for their customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and Repair Vehicle Faults: Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Latest Technology: Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry Out Repairs and Servicing: Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Ensure Safe Working Practices: Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
- Liaise with Colleagues and Supervisors: Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- Check Work Quality: Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
- Complete Service Documentation: Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
- Vehicle Health Checks: Complete vehicle health checks and CitNOW video in a timely manner (or equivalent).
- Maintain Workshop Standards: Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are always maintained, including the use of special and personal tools.
- Diagnostic Equipment Knowledge: The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment.
- High-Quality Standards: The capability of working to the highest quality standards.
- Great Communication Skills: Great communication skills.
- Housekeeping Standards: Maintain high standards of house-keeping.
- Efficiency Targets: Prior experience of working to efficiency targets.
- Full UK Driving License: A full UK driving license.
- Automotive Experience: Experience within a main automotive dealer preferable, but not essential.
- VOSA Approval: VOSA approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ: Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent.
