Role Overview

As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in guiding Golding Homes. Board Members share equal responsibility and are expected to leverage their expertise to assist in making informed decisions that benefit our residents and the broader community.

We encourage applications from residents (tenants, shared owners, or leaseholders) and non-residents who are passionate about enhancing service delivery for our community. Previous board experience is not mandatory; however, candidates should demonstrate relevant skills or a willingness to develop them with our support.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience in strategic leadership or executive roles
  • Strong understanding of housing management and customer service principles
  • Extensive executive-level experience in housing management, including tenancy and asset management
  • Ability to foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture
  • Experience in driving transformational change
  • Awareness of current national policies affecting the housing sector
  • Knowledge of social housing regulations
  • Track record of enhancing service delivery with high customer satisfaction
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data
  • Interest in affordable and social housing

Expectations

Joining the Board will present both challenges and rewards, providing opportunities to develop new skills that can benefit you in various aspects of life.

Time Commitment

Meetings will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual attendance. Board meetings occur several times a year, with additional committee meetings and occasional overnight retreats.

Meetings typically take place in the late afternoon and last 2-3 hours. We ensure that Board Members have the necessary tools to access meeting materials electronically and participate via video conferencing.

We are committed to accommodating any additional needs you may have to ensure effective participation.

Compensation

The role offers an annual stipend of £5,964, along with reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred while fulfilling your duties.
