Integrated Logistics Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As an ILS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our client's projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled ILS Engineer to influence and advise various business functions, engineering, project managers, bid teams, services and portfolio managers, and sales by promoting and implementing ILS activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the ILS service support offering across key business functions (portfolio, project management, engineering, and manufacturing) to ensure they meet whole life cost targets and project/service profitability.
  • Determine, develop, and deliver project ILS strategies, plans, and reports in conjunction with the relevant service and project deliverables, including ILS elements planning, LSA tailoring, in-service support planning, and logs demos.
  • Work with engineering, production, and supply chain to provide product and system supportability reporting and assurance through the application of relevant ARM&T principles.
  • Own and manage the Service and support ILS responses to Customer Requests for Proposal (RFP), Invitations to Tender (ITT), Statements of Work (SoW), Tender Assessments, and Contract Specifications.
  • Support business growth as an ILS Subject Matter Expert (SME) for bids, partnering agreements, including planning, pre-contract discussions, product development, project ILS meetings & reviews.
  • Support engineering in the production of FMECA's, RBD's, and MTBF generation.
Requirements
  • Degree or HND/HNC qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering or with relevant experience in the Defence Industry.
  • Experience contributing to bid responses, understanding customer requirements, estimating costs, and providing bid content such as ILS/IPS plans.
  • Experience in the service support of low volume, high-value products and systems in a highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of the application of through-life support standards such as DEF STAN 00-600, 00-40, 00-42, Mil Std 217F, and KiD.
  • Good knowledge of MOD support frameworks and experience in their application as a supplier.
