Job Description:
Key Responsibilities- Workshop Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the engineering workshop, ensuring efficient and high-quality maintenance and repair work.
- Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of workshop staff, including technicians and apprentices, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Task Assignment: Assign tasks and projects to technicians based on their skills and workload, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Quality Control: Monitor and inspect work performed by technicians to ensure it meets quality and safety standards, conducting final inspections and test drives to verify the quality of repairs and maintenance.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled work, and maintain workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on workshop performance, including productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Experience: Proven experience in an automotive repair or maintenance role, including experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Skills: Excellent mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
