Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced scientist to provide leadership in education and training for our healthcare science workforce. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies for healthcare science education across our organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage education strategies that meet service needs, including the registered and unregistered workforce.
  • Lead the development of programs of education and training, taking into account cultural diversity in the workplace and the need to adapt training accordingly.
  • Promote lifelong learning that is underpinned by research and development, and links to the aims of the Imperial College AHSC.
  • Implement changes and support the Trust-wide change process.
  • Implement an education service that meets the requirements of Investors in People.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Completion of a scientist training program or equivalent
  • HCPC registrant or equivalent
  • Masters-level qualification in healthcare science, with a willingness to undertake a recognized teaching qualification
  • Teaching and assessing in clinical practice
  • Significant experience at a senior healthcare science level at band 7/8a
  • Experience of undertaking research and improvement projects
  • Experience of leading and managing teams
  • Ability to give presentations
  • Writing for publication
