Job Title: Customer Development Manager

Job Summary:

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working exclusively on an exciting opportunity with a world-famous, global spirit company. This role is focusing on On Trade customers and includes account management, with some business development. Field-based role with 1-2 days per week WFH. Salary up to £38K (DOE) + Car allow + 10% bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of a portfolio of customer accounts to meet and exceed budgeted volume and value sales.
  • Differentiate the client's brands by creating and executing innovative in-outlet activation, striving to secure maximum visibility of their brands.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities to grow their on-trade customer base.
  • Understand and deliver insight to the business on weekly and monthly customer performance, drive action from this and deliver incremental growth.
  • Ensure accurate internal communication to supply team re promotions/activations/changes to distribution are kept up to date.
  • Develop excellent product knowledge and be critically aware of all market trends across beers wines and spirits.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in sales, marketing, or related field within the On-Trade.
  • Brands drinks experience and use in cocktails would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial/financial understanding, together with intellect and curiosity to interpret performance, recommending appropriate actions.
  • Ability to manage projects and multi-task whilst building strong and positive relationships at all levels (internal and external).
  • Comfortable managing some key accounts, and building strong commercial relationships.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Passionate about spirits and the beverage industry.
