Job Description

Job Title: High-Risk Safety Specialist

Job Summary:

Mansource UK Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled High-Risk Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on high-risk safety and process safety management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply relevant high-risk safety legislation and regulations, including the Nuclear Installations Act and the Control of Major Accident Hazards regulations.
  • Develop and implement practical and pragmatic arrangements for the implementation of high-risk safety legislation and regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise to develop and implement a management system that ensures compliance with relevant high-risk laws.
  • Provide statutory advice and challenge to leadership on regulatory compliance performance concerning high-risk regulation.
  • Deliver a range of generic HSSE activities, including leading and contributing to investigations, audits, inspections, and continual improvement.
  • Act as Contract Manager and IC as required for relevant contracts related to the HSSE service.
  • Develop and implement appropriate internal performance reporting tools and ensure external reporting requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety Management or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or a commitment to work towards).
  • Recognised lead auditor training (or a commitment to work towards).
  • Appropriate instruction in conducting investigations, as well as Root Cause Analysis (or a commitment to work towards).
  • Working collaboratively (level 3).
  • Building a learning culture (level 3).

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in providing process safety and high-risk regulations compliance advice in an industrial environment.
  • Experience working within nuclear, COMAH, or other high-risk industries, including interacting with relevant regulators.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, Atlantic Link, and PowerPoint.
  • Broad knowledge of the legislative landscape applicable to the project site.
  • Previous experience in developing, managing, and/or implementing management frameworks for high-risk safety in the nuclear or process industries.
