About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery and well-being of women within an acute inpatient mental health setting. Your expertise will focus on empowering individuals through meaningful activities, establishing routines, fostering social inclusion, and providing psychoeducation to aid in relapse prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to develop and deliver therapeutic group programs that promote mental well-being and recovery.
  • Assess patients' needs and recommend appropriate equipment or adaptations to enhance their daily functioning.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, junior staff, and volunteers within the occupational therapy department.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving the patient experience and enhancing the overall quality of care provided.
