About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Aspris Children's Services. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our young people with complex needs, including autism, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and associated conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support the communication and language needs of our young people.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists, teachers, and support staff, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting our young people.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the communication and language needs of our young people and develop strategies to support their development.
  • Provide training and support to our staff on communication and language strategies to ensure that our young people receive the best possible support.
  • Collaborate with our educational specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans that support the communication and language needs of our young people.
Requirements
  • Profession-specific qualification and registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including autism, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and associated conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including young people, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of our young people.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in speech and language therapy.
