About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Craft Engineer to join our team at the Kemsley Paper Mill in Sittingbourne. As a key member of our Engineering Craft team, you will be responsible for maintaining high safety standards and contributing to a diverse range of engineering maintenance and project activities.

In this role, you will support our preventative maintenance strategy, undertaking work of a predictive nature in compliance with engineering standards and procedures. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance and effectiveness of assets to identify areas for continuous improvement.

We are looking for a driven and self-motivated individual who is flexible in their approach to problems and able to work well alongside their team. The successful candidate will be accountable and take full ownership of their area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the preventative maintenance strategy and undertake work of a predictive nature in compliance with engineering standards and procedures.
  2. Monitor the performance and effectiveness of assets to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  3. Work collaboratively with the Engineering Craft team to maintain high safety standards and contribute to a diverse range of engineering maintenance and project activities.
  4. Develop and implement solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering processes.
Requirements
  1. Significant mechanical engineering experience.
  2. Understanding of E&I.
  3. Experience in manufacturing industry.
  4. Flexible in your approach to problems.
  5. Ability to work well alongside your team.
  6. Driven and self-motivated, always looking for improvements in the way we do things.
  7. Accountable and wanting to take full ownership over your area of expertise.
