About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Primary Care Nurse to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services). As a Primary Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist primary care to patients, considering their safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, using clinical knowledge and guidelines.
  • Undertake preventative health programs, such as travel and vaccination clinics, new patient screening, and audiometry.
  • Provide technical nursing treatments and procedures for patients with complex healthcare needs.
  • Offer specialist advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Professional/clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level.
  • Registered Nurse with live registration on Part 1 Subsection 1 (RN1/RN(A)) of the UK NMC register.
  • Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • United Kingdom (UK) Driving Licence required for working at different sites across DPHC CWX.
