Our client is a market leader in the manufacture of high-performance polyurethane elastomer components. Today, they focus on supplying high-performance polyurethane cast elastomer systems for various applications across multiple industries.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Development Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the R&D department, you will be responsible for the development of company products, providing technical support to sales and customers, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the technical strategy for the company, influencing the development of technology and contributing to business growth.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of 7 or more in R&D, Quality, and Project Management, providing direction and support to ensure the development of resources meets current and future business needs.
  • Track and evaluate product development initiatives, reporting progress to key stakeholders at various stages of the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team, accompanying them to customer sites and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Maintain compliance with company accreditations, policies, and certification requirements stipulated by customers or regulatory authorities.
  • Liaise with operations to ensure quality standards are met, and work closely with the team to resolve technical challenges for customers.

Requirements

  • Working experience with a focus on Polyurethane Elastomers.
  • Proven experience leading teams, driving continuous improvement, and managing change.
  • Degree-educated in Chemicals, Materials Science, or a relevant field.
