Job Title: Sales Growth Specialist

As a Sales Growth Specialist at OnBuy, you will play a crucial role in expanding our seller base and driving revenue growth. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a strategic sales plan to identify, engage, and onboard high-quality sellers in target verticals or product categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Execute a Strategic Sales Plan: Identify, engage, and onboard high-quality sellers in target verticals or product categories.
  2. Utilize Digital Platforms: Leverage LinkedIn and other relevant platforms to identify, connect, and engage with potential leads within the target market.
  3. Conduct Thorough Research: Research potential sellers, including their product offerings, target audiences, and competitive positioning, to tailor pitches and value propositions accordingly.
  4. Build and Maintain a Strong Network: Build and maintain a strong network of connections to expand the reach and visibility of our online marketplace.
  5. Initiate and Maintain Meaningful Conversations: Initiate and maintain meaningful conversations with prospects to understand their needs, educate them about our products/services, and effectively communicate the value proposition.
  6. Utilize Automated Tools: Utilize automated appointment booking tools to schedule and manage sales meetings, and follow-up discussions with potential clients.
  7. Collaborate with the Marketing Team: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with ongoing campaigns, promotions, and lead generation activities.
  8. Provide Accurate and Timely Reports: Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, activity reports, and market feedback to the Director of Sales Operations.
  9. Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, including calls, emails, meetings, and outcomes, in the company's CRM system.
  10. Continuously Refine and Optimize: Continuously refine and optimize sales scripts, email templates, and other collateral based on feedback and performance data.
  11. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging sales techniques to refine your sales strategies and approaches.
  12. Work with the Account Management Team: Work closely with the account management team to ensure a seamless handoff of new sellers and provide input on strategies to drive their long-term success on the platform.
  13. Represent the Company: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Proven Track Record: Proven track record of success in a sales role, selling to retailers/e-tailers/B2B (preferably within the e-commerce or online marketplace industry).
  2. Experience in Strategic Partnerships: Experience in developing and leveraging strategic partnerships to drive lead generation and expand the seller network.
  3. Proficient in Digital Platforms: Proficient in leveraging LinkedIn and other digital platforms for lead generation and sales prospecting.
  4. Excellent Time Management: Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of leads and concurrent sales cycles.
  5. Tech-Savvy: Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital tools and solutions.
  6. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling sales pitches and negotiate effectively.
  7. Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of self-motivation and target-driven mindset.
  8. Demonstrated Ability to Achieve Sales Targets: Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets within a competitive market.
  9. Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to track sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Experience in Winning New Partnerships: Experience in winning new partnerships and expanding existing partnerships to drive seller acquisition and GMV growth.
  2. Strong Understanding of Automated Tools: Strong understanding of automated appointment booking tools and CRM systems to streamline the sales process.
  3. Experience with LinkedIn Automation: Experience with LinkedIn automation, lead generation tools, and contact information tools.
  4. Experience with AI Tools: Experience with using AI tools, or other advanced tools to speed up lead generation.
  5. Experience with E-commerce Platform APIs: Experience with e-commerce platform APIs and integrations to better understand and communicate technical requirements to potential sellers.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary on offer for this role is between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience PLUS Uncapped monthly commission.
