Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our Extra Care Services team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our residents receive comprehensive, person-centered support that promotes independence and dignity.
Location: The Orchard, Combe Down, Bath
Working Hours: This is a part-time position with shift patterns that include weekends and some bank holidays.
Welcome Payment: A Welcome Payment equivalent to 5% of the starting salary for the grade is available upon successful completion of the probationary period, subject to eligibility criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Assist in the management and support of the care team, including the allocation of electronic work schedules and staff supervision.
- Care Coordination: Aid in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans, care records, and risk assessments.
- Health Oversight: Monitor the overall health and well-being of residents, ensuring timely interventions to prevent hospital admissions.
- Medication Oversight: Ensure the accurate control, documentation, and distribution of medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Candidate Profile:
While prior experience in a senior care capacity is beneficial, a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care is essential. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this role ideal for those looking to advance their careers in a supportive environment.
Understanding Extra Care:
Extra Care Housing provides adults with care needs a secure tenancy in a self-contained flat within a specially designed or adapted setting. Our Extra Care services have received a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
