About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Land Buyer/Land Manager to join our team at Metis Homes. As a key member of our land acquisition team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing strategic land opportunities to support our business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and acquire land plots for development, working closely with our land director and senior management team
- Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, agents, and consultants to identify potential land opportunities
- Conduct thorough due diligence on land plots, including site visits and analysis of planning and development potential
- Negotiate and agree land deals, ensuring that they meet our business objectives and are aligned with our growth strategy
- Work collaboratively with our development team to ensure a smooth transition of land plots from acquisition to development
Requirements
- Proven experience in land acquisition and development, with a strong understanding of the UK land market
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with landowners, agents, and consultants
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Knowledge of planning and development processes, including the ability to interpret planning policies and guidance
