Job Summary:

The Emerald Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuary - Pricing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will be responsible for providing pricing recommendations and working closely with our business development team to achieve annual new business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quotation and Pricing: Responsible for quotations and providing pricing recommendations for bulk annuity buy-ins and buy-outs, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Investment Analysis: Liaise with our investment front office to identify suitable assets to support bulk annuity transactions, ensuring that our clients' investments are aligned with their risk tolerance.
  • Reinsurance Management: Team work with reinsurance actuaries to ensure that reinsurance is appropriately incorporated within quotations, providing our clients with comprehensive risk management solutions.
  • Contract Negotiations: Reviewing legal agreements and contributing to contract negotiations with external stakeholders, ensuring that our clients' interests are protected.
  • Business Development: Supporting business development and relationship management, identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with our clients.
  • Pricing Model Development: Contributing to the development of our pricing bases and pricing models, ensuring that they are scalable for future growth and aligned with our clients' risk tolerances.
  • Risk Governance: Managing stakeholders and ensuring compliance with risk governance, providing our clients with peace of mind and confidence in our services.

Requirements:

  • Actuarial Qualification: Qualified actuary with a strong understanding of UK Defined Benefit pensions.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the bulk annuity market and products, ensuring that our clients receive expert advice and guidance.
