Charles Simon Associates Ltd is seeking a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer for an initial fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent role in the future. This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel as necessary, all of which will be reimbursed.


Role Overview:
This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is eager to identify and implement enhancements to existing systems, aiming to minimize downtime and reduce reliance on external support.

Compensation:
Up to £42,000 per annum (Pro Rata)

Key Qualifications for the Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer:
  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable role is essential.
  • Robust background in IT infrastructure and support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with the complete suite of O365.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection regulations.
  • Ability to identify risks within the cybersecurity landscape.

Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer:
  • Assist the Head of IT in exploring new and emerging technologies that can enhance current systems.
  • Provide insights on improvements and innovations, driving change management initiatives.
  • Facilitate collaboration among teams to ensure appropriate engagement.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business to accurately capture its requirements.
  • Ensure the appropriate technology is utilized in system development and modifications.
  • Review existing processes to identify more efficient methods for task completion.
  • Compile reports and deliver regular updates to the Head of IT regarding performance and cybersecurity risks.
  • Support the procurement process for IT equipment, including raising purchase orders and liaising with vendors.
  • Monitor Azure alerts and notify the Head of IT of any potential incidents.
