About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality specialist paediatric dentistry services, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

The post holder will be expected to have a strong clinical background in paediatric dentistry, with experience in managing complex cases and leading clinical teams.

They will also be responsible for teaching and training dental core trainees, specialty registrars, and post-CCST trainees, as well as participating in continuing dental education meetings and quality improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality specialist paediatric dentistry services
  • Lead clinical teams and manage complex cases
  • Teach and train dental core trainees, specialty registrars, and post-CCST trainees
  • Participate in continuing dental education meetings and quality improvement projects
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • Membership in Paediatric Dentistry or equivalent
  • Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Paediatric Dentistry
  • Possession of the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Paediatric Dentistry or equivalent upon taking up post
  • Successful completion of a SAC approved 2-year minimum training programme in a FTTA in Paediatric Dentistry, or within 6 months of such, or equivalent 'run through' training
