Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Java/Python applications that integrate with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Create highly scalable and resilient systems on the AWS platform.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment on AWS.
  • Diagnose and enhance existing systems for security, performance, availability, and cost efficiency.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Formal education or certification in software engineering principles, along with practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience in developing, debugging, optimizing, and maintaining code in a large corporate setting using modern programming languages (Java and/or Python) and database querying languages.
  • Familiarity with AWS serverless computing and microservices architecture.
  • Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
  • Proficient in writing secure, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Adept at solving data-centric challenges using various relevant technologies such as SQL, relational databases, Spark, and NoSQL, while optimizing for performance.
  • Solid grasp of object-oriented analysis and design principles.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in Spark performance tuning for complex queries on large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies.
  • Experience with Databricks or Cloudera.
  • Experience in developing full-stack applications.
