About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join a leading financial services company based in Glasgow. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with 2 to 3 days in the office per week, and a competitive salary of up to £75K. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining innovative software solutions using Java, Python, Scala, and AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-performance, scalable software solutions in the financial services domain.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement back-end systems using Java, Python, and Scala.
  • Leverage AWS cloud services for deploying and managing applications.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and best practices.
  • Work with Spring Boot to develop microservices-based applications.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Java, Python, and Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Spring Boot framework and microservices architecture.
  • Experience working within the financial services domain is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
