About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Foundation Training Lead to join our team at NHS England. As a key member of our workforce development team, you will play a critical role in leading the delivery of foundation training for pharmacists in the South West region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the delivery of foundation training for pharmacists in the South West region.
  • Work closely with the Head of School and Regional Head of Pharmacy to oversee the delivery and quality management of foundation training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including universities, employers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective workforce pipeline and high-quality training for pharmacy professionals.
  • Lead a team of educators to support trainee pharmacists and their supervisors in the region.
Requirements
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Clear understanding and evidence of involvement in delivery and management of healthcare education and training.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to 'sell' the vision.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel and prioritize tasks accordingly.
