About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Mountain Healthcare Limited. As a Forensic Healthcare Specialist, you will work closely with the police and provide high-quality care to detainees in our custody suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide acute medical healthcare to detainees, including assessment and care of detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Collect forensic samples, including road traffic offence bloods, and assist the police with their investigations.
  • Signpost and conduct referrals, offering support for vulnerabilities and helping patients to break patterns of re-offending.
  • Deliver substance misuse therapies and promote good personal healthcare.
  • Work with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centre, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, as a Paramedic Practitioner, Registered Nurse or other relevant discipline would be ideal to assist you in this role.
