About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team at Avondale Care Home. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality meals to our residents, while also supervising and motivating the catering team to ensure all activities comply with company Food Safety policies, guidelines, and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that take into account healthy eating guidelines and any dietary and nutritional requirements
  • Tailor meals based on our residents' preferences and changing dietary needs
  • Supervise and motivate the catering team to ensure all activities comply with company Food Safety policies, guidelines, and statutory regulations
  • Monitor the catering budget and food stock ordering
  • Support the provision of catering operations in line with the company's policies and procedures
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety within the kitchen
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally with a qualification in food catering
  • Ability to lead a small kitchen team
  • Excellent organizational capabilities paired with effective communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, passion, and a strong commitment to service delivery
  • Adaptability and resilience
  • First-class customer service skills
