Senior Contracts Manager

Our client is a leading research institution seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join their Business Development and Partnerships Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting researchers and Business Development Managers in developing and delivering collaborative research and development projects, programmes, and strategic partnerships.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist contract support to internal stakeholders, maintaining a suite of legal templates, and negotiating agreements with a range of sponsors, including Research Councils, charities, and industrial partners. You will ensure that both the researchers' and the University's interests are protected by agreeing terms that safeguard the researchers' need to publish and pursue further research and the University's charitable and academic position.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate, draft, negotiate, and execute contracts
- Provide advice on costing, pricing, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Collaborate with the wider Professional Services team to ensure harmony and high-quality contract management
- Work cooperatively with researchers and Business Development Managers to develop and deliver collaborative research and development projects
