Pareto Facilities Management is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to promote a positive health and safety culture across our contracts. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to reduce risks and incidents, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize accidents and incidents.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for control measures to the Health and Safety Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Implement Pareto's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Review and approve risk assessments and method statements for Pareto works.
- Manage and approve subcontractors carrying out work within the contract.
- Issue permits for Pareto and subcontractors as required.
- Maintain training records and ensure all first aiders, fire marshals, etc. are booked onto appropriate refresher courses.
- Complete training courses as required under the Ed App programme.
- Undertake audits and inspections as required by the Pareto HSEQ Committee and internal contract requirements.
- Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager to effectively close out actions and monitor compliance.
- Relevant training and certification in health and safety (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or similar).
- Fluent in English with excellent written and grammatical skills.
- Experience in HSE compliance and knowledge of HSE best practice.
- Good people skills, ability to communicate effectively.
- Organisation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and cooperatively with others.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Working experience of Microsoft Office tools.
