Position Overview

DPP is a prominent independent consultancy specializing in planning solutions throughout the UK. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Town Planner to contribute to a variety of projects nationwide. The successful candidate will be expected to work in our Leeds office for a minimum of three days each week.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for career advancement while supporting the provision of outstanding planning services across multiple sectors, including education, energy, defense, healthcare, residential, retail, and significant mixed-use and regeneration initiatives. Our clientele includes some of the most recognized land developers, housing builders, and retail businesses in the country.

We promote a flexible working environment, allowing a blend of remote and office-based work for all employees. Our experienced senior leadership team offers continuous support and mentorship across all locations. For those pursuing chartership, we assign a dedicated mentor to guide you through the process. Essential Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  1. RTPI accredited degree or a relevant qualification
  2. Progressing towards MRTPI chartership
  3. 0-1 years of relevant experience or placements
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  6. Solid understanding of the planning framework
  7. Commercial awareness
  8. Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
