Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Payroll and Finance Operations to join our team at Workingmums. As a key member of our finance operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the payroll and finance operations functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of payroll and finance operations professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of payroll and finance operations processes.
  • Develop and implement effective payroll and finance operations strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the processing of payroll and finance operations transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading and managing payroll and finance operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and finance operations processes, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and maintain financial models and reports.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and timeliness in payroll and finance operations transactions.
