We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Assystem. As an Engineering Work Package Lead, you will play a critical role in the delivery of civil scope for nuclear power plants, collaborating with suppliers to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Package Development: Support the development and agreement of contract packages for civil scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Technical Specifications: Author technical specifications and delivery documents to define contract requirements, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Contractor Engagement: Engage with contractors to ensure smooth delivery, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
- Tender Document Review: Review tender documents, coordinating technical reviews as necessary to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Contract Meetings: Lead contract technical and project meetings to ensure timely and effective delivery, addressing any issues or concerns.
- Integration and Liaison: Liaise with RD teams to integrate equipment with other systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- Progress Reporting: Communicate progress, risks, and issues to support contract delivery, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Commercial Management: Manage commercial structures and supplier relationships, ensuring effective cost management and supplier performance.
- Education: Masters' or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing multi-discipline EPCM projects, with a strong track record of delivery.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of CDM regulations and construction activities, with proficiency in estimating, scheduling, programming, and EVM tools.
- Leadership: Leadership experience in managing teams, budgets, and suppliers, with strong analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- UK Nuclear Sector Experience: Experience in the UK nuclear sector, with knowledge of NEC/FIDIC contract management.
- Nuclear Processing Regulations: Proficiency in nuclear processing regulations, with experience in technical management of supply contracts.
- Stakeholder Management: Stakeholder management and collaboration experience, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
