Job Description:

We are currently representing a reputable broker in the Southampton area that is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their dynamic team. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, providing excellent service, and ensuring that their insurance needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Building and maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients to deliver exceptional customer service and meet their insurance needs.
  2. Conducting thorough client risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  3. Negotiating with insurers to obtain favorable terms for clients and ensure their insurance needs are met.
  4. Assisting with policy renewals and adjustments to ensure seamless transitions and minimize disruptions.
  5. Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on their insurance needs, including identifying potential risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.
  6. Handling client queries and claims promptly and efficiently to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  7. Staying informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler within the insurance industry, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service and meeting client needs.
  2. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and services, including risk management and mitigation strategies.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and insurers.
  4. Ability to work effectively within a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  5. Good understanding of insurance market trends and regulations, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  6. Relevant certifications or qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential.
