Children's Community Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Community Nurse to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Children and Young People's Community Nursing Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to children and young people in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and maintain excellent nursing care and practice standards within the Children's Community Nursing Team.
- Work closely with the Team Lead to ensure the consistent delivery of safe quality nursing care for children on the caseload.
- Help implement and review clinical policies and standards, ensuring they are aligned with Trust requirements.
- Manage the development and performance of junior staff, ensuring supervision and appraisals are completed and feedback is provided regularly.
- Educate and support junior staff in leadership and best clinical practice.
- Ensure accurate and contemporaneous records are maintained, and health records are compliant with Trust policy.
- Assist in coordinating child protection processes and supporting junior staff in understanding and exercising the Trust safeguarding policy.

Requirements- RN Child / RSCN (or experience of working with children in acute / community healthcare)
- Continued professional development, including evidence of reflective practice in service training, any course attended, and clinical experience gained
- A recognised teaching and assessing qualification, 998 or Learning Through Mentorship
- IV Competent
- Child physical assessment module level 3
