The Role

We are seeking a skilled Rigger to join our Cranes and Lifting department on a permanent basis. This role will be part of our flying squad operating ad-hoc trips offshore from Aberdeen. You will receive a retainer salary plus company benefits and day rates for any trips you commence. Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing all applicable company/project policies, working practices, and procedures to ensure rigging/erection work scope is completed in compliance with LOLER regulations and to a high standard of safety.
  • Completing all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings/sketches.
  • Developing and understanding lifting plans.
  • Providing support to other trades/disciplines where required or forming part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
  • Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner.
  • Conducting Risk Assessments (RA) to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.

Requirements

To be successful for this position, you will have previous experience in a Rigging role and experience with inspection, service, repair, and test of all rigging & lifting equipment. You will hold an OPITO Level 3 Rigging Assessment, a Banksman/Slinger certificate, BOSIET/FOET, and an approved offshore medical. A Level 3 Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads is preferred but not essential.
