Job Title: Financial Operations Assistant

Job Summary:

Fowler Welch, a leading logistics and supply chain company, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join its team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post weekly and month-end journals and assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Control the cash book, credit cards, and expenses, and perform yearend and audit tasks.
  • Complete daily cashbook postings, bank reconciliations, and deal with queries.
  • Prepare and post General ledger journals, and perform responsibility for set Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Post weekly and monthly Payroll journals and Salary prepayments or accruals.
  • Prepare Monthly VAT reconciliations, and assist with the preparation of Monthly Group Reports.
  • Support year-end analysis, reconciliations, and Group submissions.
  • Assist in supplying information to Auditors for annual audit, and supply data for Tax analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual returns for the Office of National Statistics.

Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels within the business.
  • PC literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
