Job Title: Finance Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our Finance team at Fowler Welch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post weekly and month-end journals and assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Control the cash book, credit cards, and expenses, and perform yearend and audit tasks.
  • Prepare and post General ledger journals, and reconcile the PSA account.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly VAT reconciliations and Group Reports.
  • Support year-end analysis, reconciliations, and Group submissions.
  • Assist in supplying information to Auditors for annual audit.
  • Supply data for Tax analysis and assist with queries from the Muller Tax team.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual returns for the Office of National Statistics.
Requirements:
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working to meet business requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels within the business.
  • PC literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
