Support Worker Opportunity

Vetro Housing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to young people aged 16-21 who are experiencing complex needs and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and guidance to young people to help them achieve their goals and manage their tenancies independently.
  • Develop and deliver group work facilitation to promote resilience and confidence among young people.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive support package is in place for each young person.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support plans that address the unique needs and challenges of each young person.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people in an accommodation setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build supportive relationships with young people and colleagues.
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of issues that disrupt progress towards independence, such as mental health, substance use, and self-harm.
  • Demonstrable skills in developing and delivering group work facilitation.
