Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Capital Projects Manager to join our client's team and contribute to their continued growth and investment strategy. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing and supporting high-value capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex capital projects, with a strong background in project management, engineering, and capital expenditure. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and supporting high-value capital projects, including risk assessments, permits for work, contractor management, and capital equipment projects.
  • Delivering high-value engineering projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Maintaining the operational functionality of the plant through capital project and process improvement.
  • Writing specifications and scopes of work, preparing RFQs, and reviewing supplier bids.
  • Leading and supporting projects to further improve plant KPIs (OEE).
  • Collaborating with the Engineering and Maintenance department to develop and implement capital projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to H&S policy, procedure, and targets, and ensuring contractors adhere to the same.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or HNC in an engineering discipline, ideally with project management qualifications.
  • Knowledge of production machinery, plant installation, and building facilities, ideally gained in a high-volume manufacturing or capital-intensive engineering environment.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and Safe Systems of Work, including RAMS and Permits to Work.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-value capital projects to agreed specification, on time, and to budget.
