Nursery Room Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and leading a team of childcare providers to ensure the well-being and development of children in our care.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and support the team to provide high-quality care and education for all children and support for families.
- Develop and implement a broad and balanced Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum that meets the requirements of relevant national and local standards.
- Ensure Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Early Support Programs for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) are prepared and implemented.
- Monitor and observe children's development, contributing to written reports of their progress.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to health and safety policies.
- Prepare reports to support children's transition to Reception.
- Ensure any injuries or accidents are reported and recorded, and health and safety policies are maintained.
- Offer support to parents and families as needed.
- Lead and support the team to provide educational visits for children and families, adhering to health and safety policies and risk assessments.
- Take responsibility for securing the building and resources if required.
- Effectively lead and manage other childcare assistants in the nursery.
- Ensure a high level of health and safety within the room and complete appropriate checks and risk assessments.
- Lead and support the admission and transition for children and families.
- Attend and actively participate in professional meetings when needed.
- Monitor staff: child ratios and distribute staff accordingly, ensuring the setting is safe before leaving the building.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, ensuring that all childcare assistants are complying also.
- Take responsibility for a group of children during a building evacuation if necessary.
- Undertake staff observations to support appraisals and mentoring for other childcare assistants.
- Ensure the environment is maintained to a high level, making sure learning is visible through children's work and displays.
Essential qualifications include GCSE English, Maths, and Science at Grade C minimum (or equivalent), a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years, and a minimum of 2 years of working in a nursery setting.

Pay: £12.24-£14.17 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
