Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of financial awareness within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and governance.
  • Mentor and manage the development of junior team members.
  • Prepare internal financial reports and any additional documentation as required.
  • Create Valuations/Applications for Payment with comprehensive supporting documents as per contractual obligations.
  • Develop and present Cost Reports to clients with all necessary contractual documentation.
  • Manage procurement schedules for subcontractors and materials.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier accounts, from requisition preparation to final account agreements.
  • Handle contract administration, including change management and maintaining relevant registers.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities, including value engineering and changes.
  • Utilize cost allocation/coding that meets both internal and external standards.
  • Measure quantities according to standard measurement methods as needed.
  • Engage positively with client representatives.

Candidate Profile

  • BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong background in civil engineering and/or rail sectors is essential.
  • Valid CSCS (White/Gold Card).
  • Full driving license with flexibility for travel.
  • In-depth knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (NEC) and Standard Methods of Measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in presentations, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Relevant experience in construction, engineering, or a similar commercial environment.
