About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Acuity Care Group Limited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to an individual with Autism, enabling them to live a fulfilling and independent life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to the individual, including assistance with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting the individual's independence and autonomy.
- Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times, adhering to care plans and guidelines provided.
- Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members, maintaining confidentiality and respecting their privacy.
- Assist with light household chores, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- Help the individual to develop everyday life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and planning.
- Encourage the individual to participate in leisure activities, such as going to the shop, walking, and visiting places of interest.
- Support the individual in developing new hobbies and interests, such as swimming and painting.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism or similar conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
- UK driver's license required.
