About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team at Sanderson. As a key member of our internal audit function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management and internal control processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Risk-Based Audit Plans
    • Identify and assess risks to Sanderson's strategic objectives and recommend relevant audit responses
    • Deliver audit assignments that provide an insightful assessment of the effectiveness of controls in operation
  • Conduct Audits and Provide Recommendations
    • Ensure audits are delivered in line with agreed timescales and budgets
    • Ensure Conduct Risk and TCF principles are considered in all audit activities
  • Lead and Mentor Team Members
    • Support and mentor junior team members
    • Deputise for audit leadership team when required
  • Establish Effective Working Relationships
    • Ensure communication networks are in place and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders are established
Requirements
  • Hold a certification in Internal Auditing or a qualified accounting designation
  • Have previous experience in business change and major transformation programs
  • Have a sound understanding of IIA Professional Practices Framework
  • Be well-versed in corporate governance, risk management, and internal control
  • Possess a Financial Services background (desirable)
