About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Food Technology Teacher to join our team at Arc School Old Arley, part of Kedleston Group Ltd. As a SEN Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive food technology lessons to small groups of children with special educational needs, including social, emotional, and mental health needs, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and attachment difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver food technology lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide support and guidance to students to develop their confidence and capability in food technology
  • Contribute to the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in SEN teaching
Requirements
  • Qualified and experienced teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a strong background in SEN teaching
  • Familiarity with working with children who have special educational needs in a mainstream or special education setting
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting children to achieve their full potential
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
